KryptoKloud in Parliament, on the News and on the Terraces

During the first three months of 2022, the media spotlight has shone brightly on KryptoKloud.  We have proudly flown the flag for SME’s in Lincolnshire and the East Midlands region as a whole, showing that organisations outside of London play a vital role in the UK’s economy.

From The Highest House…

On the 13th January, Karl McCartney MP (Lincoln) stood in the House of Commons and discussed the UK Government’s “Levelling Up” programme. Whilst mentioning both the excellent work done by the Lincoln Science and Innovation Park, Karl then went on to mention KryptoKloud’s innovative work by name. You can watch this clip by following the link here. Two months later, Karl came to see our new office and Security Operations Centre.

To the Nightly News…

Following the beginning of the Ukraine Conflict on the 24th February, there was a rapid escalation in the cyber threat level within the UK. Cyber attacks were now in the forefront of the nation’s mind, and national news outlets were paying attention. Wanting to gain some further insight on the matter, Channel 4 News came up to Lincoln to speak to the team here at KryptoKloud. Business Operations Director Andy Marchant did a phenomenal job explaining the risks to businesses and the level of sophistication being utilised by Russian hackers.

A few days later, BBC Radio Lincolnshire were also keen to discuss the rising cyber threat. Harry Parkhill spoke with CEO Paul Burrows & Andy Marchant on the risks to local businesses from cyber-attacks in all its forms.

If that wasn’t enough, the following weeks saw the Further Education news outlet FE Week ask Paul Burrows to provide some further awareness on the current cyber environment. Paul also recommended steps that the education sector can take to combat these business risks.

To FA Cup Drama

Through discussions with our friends at Nottingham Forest F.C, we became joint match sponsors for their FA Cup Quarter Final tie against Liverpool F.C. There is nothing quite like the magic of the FA Cup; the perfect stage for KryptoKloud to gain international recognition.

So, on Sunday the 20th March 2022; KryptoKloud’s names appeared on billboards and screens across The City Ground, along with the match programmes for the occasion. Our name ran the touchlines along while nearly 6 million people watched a close match on TV. Whilst Nottingham Forest didn’t get the result that they had hoped for, they gave a great account of themselves and can hold their head’s high.

KryptoKloud are proud to have been associated with such an exciting moment in Nottingham Forest’s year. We look forward to building a close relationship with them, as they strive to return to the topflight of English football.
